My primary pursuit in writing is screenwriting. I have written over 10 screenplays (a few with my friends).

Four of my scripts have advanced in various screenwriting competitions.

A short story I wrote advanced in two screenwriting competitions specified for literary works as well.

The Chair in the Garden – Family/Animation

In the wake of his father’s death, a young boy travels to the magical land his Dad told him about during bedtime stories, where he must discover what true bravery means as he comes up against the monster that threatens the land.

Adapted from my short story The Chair in the Garden.

Lyla – Family/Animation

A shy, young female parakeet, Lyla, escapes captivity in a foreign land and must learn to lead when she finds out winter could mean the death of her flock.

Alien Academy – Family/Animation

Becca must overcome her reservations about being the only human student at an alien academy in order to make friends on her first day of fifth grade.

Voluntarily Committed – Drama/Coming of Age

Luke mistakenly commits himself to a psychiatric hospital and must find a way to make the best of it during his stay.

Quarterfinalist in ScreenCraft’s Screenwriting Fellowship 2021.


Hurricane Party – Horror/Comedy

Three roommates in a small beach town ignore hurricane warnings to evacuate the area and decide to throw a party that ends with the town flooded and hungry sharks looking for food.

Semifinalist in the 21st annual Fade In Awards competition (2017).

Film Articles

Another period of my writing journey included writing film articles for Hollywood Insider.

I wrote articles on various topics, including profiles (Stephen King, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Logan, +…), Top 10 lists (i.e., Tearjerker films, Martial Arts films, Movies with animals, +…), and various other features on the industry or other facets of Cinema.

Many were also converted to video features for Hollywood Insider’s YouTube channel.
